The
2003
VAI
User
Conference,
held
at
Caesar's
Palace
in
Las
Vegas
September
18-20,
was
a tremendous
success
and
everyone
that
attended
found
it
educational,
informative
and
fun.
Customers
and
prospects
alike
were
raving
about
System
2000
Release
3.7.
At
the
heart
of
this
new
release
is
a newly
redesigned
warehouse
management
application,
new
manufacturing
and
purchasing
features,
a new
quality
control
application,
an
enhanced
retail
point-of-sale
application,
and
an
improved
CRM
application.
In
addition,
VAI
demonstrated
new
workflow
and
job
scheduling
features
that
can
help
companies
become
more
pro-active
in
their
decision
making
through
conditional
emails
and
preset
reporting.
Also,
VAI
launched
a new
Marketing
Automation
feature
which
can
help
users
easily
generate
new
and
repeat
business
by
sending
targeted
marketing
messages
to
selected
accounts
via
email,
fax,
or
mail.
This
exciting
new
feature
can
help
companies
maintain
a regular
presence
with
customers
and
prospects
through
ongoing,
permission-based
newsletters
and
campaigns.
With
VAI's
new
Marketing
Automation
tools
users
can
store
and
send
electronic
documents
and
marketing
materials
such
as
price
lists,
literature,
and
technical
information
at
the
touch
of

took
attendees
through
a power-course
on
how
to
successfully
implement
a warehouse
management
system
and
Liz
Lynch,
from
Consult
Ad
Hoc,
discussed
the
"7
Habits
of
Profitable
Companies".
IBM
executives
overviewed
current
IBM
hardware
announcements
and
the
future
direction
of
IBM's
iSeries
platform
and
third
party
software
vendors
demonstrated
complementary
solutions
in
the
areas
of
EDI,
Document
Imaging,
Shipping
Logistics,
Route
Accounting,
Payroll
and
Human
Resources,
Faxing,
Laser
Forms,
and
UCCNet
Processing.

Appreciation
Dinner
VAI
customers
got
the
chance
to
network
with
other
System
2000
users
and
discuss
"best
practice"
techniques
and
industry
trends.
They
also
got
the
chance
to

show

Even
Caesar
himself
stopped
by

the
attendees
